Loremaster - For Triggers

Trig... you were asking about the last 60 quests in Kalimdor... here's a few tips.

1) patch 3.3 has a list of QuestIDs completed, so no doubt some's writing a cleanup guide

2) Instance quests.... I often missed escort quests inside instances... if you use wowhead you can see all the quests associated in (and out) of the instance e.g.

(I remember LOADS of quests in Uldaman that had be back and forth between continents)

3) there's a fair few Burning Steppes and Badlands and Searing gorge quests that actually contribute to Kalimdor so clean up these 3 zones to put you on your way to EK

4) random questgivers... there's some really oddly placed dudes... often easy to forget the place to the east of Gadgetzan. Lots at the shimmering flats and also there's a random chain in a cave at the north side of 1kN. There's a guy at the very northeast of STV by the tunnel that goes to Ashenvale. Wowhead can help you pinpoint these.

5) onyxia attunement quest gives you about 7 (or more) to Kalimdor

(tell me when you need UBRS, I can solo everything except the last boss!!)

6) swap factions with the magram centaurs for 5 more in desolace. (there's also 3 escort quests here, 1 near Mara entrance and 2 with the caravans)

7) check for your class bracers to do the tier 0.5 upgrade quests... this can give you about another 10

9) FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY check on wowhead for any "This Item Starts a Quest items" it's a pain to trawl through them all but it's a good clear up

Thanks Kaz for all your help. I'll hop back on the horse and start doing my Loremaster again. I was considering on skipping Kalimdor for moment and going to Eastern Kingdoms for the achievement there. I figured I would get more chains to head back to Kalimdor and hopefully complete them. One I thing I do before I go into an instance is look up all the quests that are related to that instance, collect them all and run the instance.
I think with all the informatin you have been giving me it will make it easier to get that kalimdor achievement! Thanks again Kaz!

I really wouldnt recommend #6 and #7. Just do every "standard doable" quest around and you'll be more than over

6 is actually really easy... it's MUCH MUCH easier than the timbermaw grind that I thought I'd have to do, only took me about an hour or two to get the faction rep needed and there's 5 quests around.

7 can be a bit of a ballache for example you need to spend around 150g but you will get 7 more quests

frankly you've got LOADS to do in EK so if I were you I'd start in Badlands and then clear that, Burning steppes and searing gorge Including the stuff for the onyxia attunement chain. When you've cleared those 3 zones you'll probably only have 20 to do in Kalimdor.

FYI in terms of how much spare you have...
I haven't done Onyxia or Broodlasher's head, I've done none of the AQ instance quests. I didn't do the Timbermaw hold quests as I'm not close to revered. And since I got Loremaster I've probably done another 10+ quests. I did switch magram faction and I did do the 7 quests for belt upgrades on Tier 0.5 but no further than that.

and always remember WOWHEAD is your friend. Most times it'll tell you (in user comments) if a quest counts towards EK or Kalim or neither... things like profession quests and class quests and most dailies/repeatables DO NOT count. (repeatables often count on the first turn in)

p.s. Don't forget Duke Hydraxis in Azshara... he has 1 quest for you that's easily missed if you're really struggling.

16 to go trigg... nearly there on the hardest of them all.

When you come to EK - remember that there's a truckload of quests that are trivial to complete at the Belf starting area...

Im down to the last 8-10 quests in kalimdor, still working on the onyxia chain so we'll see how much further i have to go. thanks for the tips kaz and rubber, once I get out of kalimdor it will definately be down hill from there!

im left with 15 quests for ice-crown....wtb some help with [5] man quests

I've got a load of them to do... some are soloable... others not so much (maybe if you have a felguard)

(FYI you don't need to do them all to get loremaster - I think I have 4 or 5 group quests to do and I've done loremaster)

Hmm you don't need to touch on the 0.5 tier quest chain nor the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest line. Make sure you have quest tracker on and go to each zone, use Wowhead's map and just go to every area.


In Kalimdor, the repeatable turn-ins at Light Hope's Chapel counts the first time you do it. Lots of turn-ins there so it would be good to check it out. If you're not sure if you've done it before, look at the ! color. If it's yellow, then you havent done the first turn-in yet, and you will get credit.

The first cloth turn-ins at each city counts, as well as almost all instance quests.



<3 Loremaster, my fave title ever, especially since I'm a total WarCraft lore fan. I had 600+ quests completed on each continent of Kalimdor/EK before achievements went live back in BC. And now that after faction change, I can do Horde quests too ^_^ Gonna have to find time and start off from Northrend first since they fetch good easy gold at lvl80.

FYI, I'm sure you already know but with the next patch as well, quests will now have a certain ID associated with each toon, so shortly after its possible for Carbonite / questhelper / etc type mods will be able to query the server ( only like once every 6 hours ) for a list of quest ID's your charecter has completed. The mod would then be able to show you what you have done, and what you are missing.

Last I heard though, the 6 hours was a placeholder, may be longer if it causes server strain from too many queries at once.
