I play from a pretty zoomed-out POV, so that i can see everything happening around me.

I'm not l33t, first person POV takes too much skillz. Which I lack.

Zoomed out as much as possible. Like Spen, to see what's happening around me. Also, I tend to use the strafe keys a lot in movement, in conjunction with mouseturn (holding down right mouse button). This does not work well in 1st person view.

Yup.. me too. Need to watch out the aggro from behind or the sides Smile

btw, you can override the max zoom distance with the below

Code:: /script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax",30)

Change the range (30) to the range you are comfortable with

yeah, i do that too, i run sideways alot. with camera pointing at target. the downside is your toons are tiny. It took me a long time to realize that Gallowyn is a *female* undead. Always thought he was a troll. but trolls can't be rogues. U figure.

I was surprised that Sel is a tauren too. always thought of him as an orc.

Zoomed out all the way, cos if I used 1st person view with a melee class, that means looking at a mob's hairy butt most of the fight.

Of course, situational awareness is easier zoomed out.

3rd person! 1st person will cause you to have lotsa blind spots and occasionally pulls unwanted adds (patrols and stuff).

I'd play 1st person if I have a side mirror... but I want to see that weapon and sheild in action Shocked

one more thing...I prefer 3rd person coz in 1st person view, can't see boss, Sel's ass is TOO BIG!!! mwahahahhahaa

i got this idea for a while already - blizz should make a wow quake (one of my fav FPS games), we have warcraft characters and weapons. that will so cool. or wow team of fortress!~! solid... we have sniper class (hunter), heavy weapons (war), artillery (mages and locs) etc.. ^^

for certain boss fight's e.g. morogrim, prince, i will switch between first person and third person mainly cos i can't see anything. but most fights i will go for 3rd person perspective.
