Combining CoS and CoE is to help balance Warlock raid synergies, imo. Now you won't have to bring a 2nd/3rd warlock to have the benefit of CoR, CoS and CoE. That lot can go to a more deserving DPSer ... like a rogue?

Combining CoS/CoE means the second lock can use CoD or CoA -> moar dps from locks as a group. But it also means less incentive to bring a 2nd lock, if a mage can make up the difference.

Deserving DPSer? what's that? Very Happy

One of the item in wowhead with the most comments ever.

Some examples.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=38082#comments

It makes sense that these will be added to the game as a non-Unique because Blizzard wants to introduce a solid money sink so people don't enter Wrath with tons of money. It's $4800 to upgrade your 4 bag slots plus an additional $8400 if you want one for each bank bag slot. That's potentially $11000 per character being removed for the economy, which is a good thing as far as what I already said about it would be bad for the economy to be as inflated as it is going into Wrath. The game needs money sinks, and this is a great one. They won't be made Unique.

As of 2.4.3, she's no longer part of the Lower City faction, so it will be a 4800g upgrade for alls of your bags!

Just to clarify why this was put in the game is for de-inflation of money, The new dailies give a massive income of money to players, this, Shattered Sun Offensive Title, and Cenarion War Hippogryph were invented to de-inflate the market and also a way of saying I'm rich.

The bag size limit is almost certainly not related to data storage problems on servers. The only thing that your bag needs to hold is the item id (a 5-digit number) and any gem/enchant IDs for that item, which would account for, at most, 4 more 5-digit numbers (and it's probably less than that, since there's so few gems and enchants compared to items that they can use smaller numbers). So, each bag slot needs only store 5 small numbers (2 bytes each), for a total of 10 bytes per slot. Even if every player had a dozen 22-slot bags (including bank slots), that's a very small amount of storage, even for several thousand players per realm. That's on the order of only 20-30 megabytes of storage, total, for a server with a population of 10000 players.

Since there's about 10 million WoW players, you could estimate that the total storage necessary for every bag in game, across every server, in every country, is around 30 gigabytes. That's less than half the size of the average hard disk on a single personal computer.
