I like starcraft.
However there is one huge problem for me with SC2.
Basically, for RTS games like SC2, you need to be good at it to enjoy it.
And that means you will need to spend countless hours, being mentally challenged and high-strung playing the game, to enjoy it fully.
For Starcraft, it was during my Uni-days, and we had plenty of time outside schoolwork.
But these days? Work, RL commitments lah.... already suck us quite dry.
Playing wow is actually not that taxing on your brains, once you are used to a class, your fingers and muscle memory could do your attack/combo/spell cycles without more than 50% utilization of brain power.
But Starcraft? if you do that, you will sure lose the game if the opponent plays seriously.
I'm sure I'd still play Starcraft 2, but I probably will suck and never be really good with it which is why D3 is more attractive
brainless hacking fun in gorgeous graphics, oh and the phat lewt.... (still remember how long I farmed pindleskin to complete my Tal Rasha set) hehehe..
My 2 cents.
