Fix to the forums?

Guys, it's happening pretty frequently that new applicants can't post their armoury links... I'm pretty certain it's that guests can't post URLs where as registered users can.

is it worth changing guest permissions or just asking applicants to register, or just asking them to leave off the HTTP: so that it doesn't change it to a (hidden) url

I think it would be better to remind the applicants to use the [ code ]Armory link[ /code ] to link their armory

but seriously, it's just a basic precaution to prevent posting of dubious links by unregistered applicants. And I know some of us click on links reflexively without thinking twice ...

Talking of reflexively doing things, I was "Punished" by my warlock class leader (dacken) in europe for the following ingame exchange... (and I was hoping someone would be stupid enough to fall for it)

Dacken (c leader)> he's been thinking about it for a while
Me> really? I didn't know you could do that... what do you type to leave a guild anyway?

In case you care what the punishment was... when the Gates of AQ patch hit there were loads of very large anubis mobs wandering round silithus and we were 20-manning them... they would Mind Control one member at a time... when Dacken saw me MCd he blessed me with a Curse of Doom (when you could still cast it on players). What a treat that was once I was back on the same side as him and killed by the bugger.
