By the way, Oboke, the rogue who is higher on the meters (Naxx25), is using the HAT build that has been described by top rogues such as Aldriana as "degenerative". That build is far more dependent on the skill and gear of your party members than the player's own skill, which sucks for any serious player. I refuse to play that build

I don't know, the Blood DK's in any fight that lasts just around a minute tend to be on the top of the charts provided they use Hysteria on themselves and a Betrayer of Humanity.

As for HAT spec, I guess it's a matter of opinion. There are people who say playing fury is mind-numbingly easy and classless compared to Arms, but rather then let other people judge what's fun for you, you play it anyway. Anyway, isn't HAT the talent that gives you a combo point when somebody crits in your party/raid? That has nothing to do with the skill of your party so much as their gear >.> Then again, Adrianna did have that moment where they went and emo quit for a while and got grouchy at anybody who tried to update the rogue sim so hey, authority!

I won't say anything about Aldriana, but his theorycrafting is top-notch and I do happen to agree with his views on HAT.

The build strips out half of the rogue game (building combo points), replacing that with complete reliance on your group's skill and gear (skill because they need to, erm, stay alive) to generate combo points for you, and all you do is spam Eviscerate while keeping SnD up. It is not just a question of whether HAT requires skill (ha) but also the reliance on party members to generate your combo points for you.

The fact that this degenerate build is also currently the highest DPS spec for rogues is just sad. I think Blizzard has commented before that the old BM spec for hunters was nerfed partly because a spec or rotation that is simple (and therefore requires less skill) should not be topping meters. The same should apply for HAT.

Blood Diseaseless DK has ONLY 3 buttons to cycle. They are a boss dps'er, cant do much else.

HAT build is like the DW spec from DK, high dps, but uber boring cycle. Uber OP on adds, but not so great on boss.

their fury warriors doing almost double of my DPS, but 1 thing i noticed, which they have the best raid composition for buffs and debuffs.
gear wise not so far from them hmm~ still not sure why the diff is sooo far

Faster kills = More DPS
If a boss only lasts the duration of bloodlust, your DPS will be higher because you spent it entirely in Bloodlust + Deathwish. Next time you're bored, try your DPS on a test dummy and time it exactly for 30 seconds and use both together and see how much dps you can do

That's because most of their boss fights only last 1-2mins. You spend half that time with bloodlust, cds and trinkets.

Their raid is 2 tanks, 4 healers and 19 DPS. With more stacked DPS, you can save alot of time on bosses. E.g. Kill Noth before he teleports, Heigan with 1 dance, Anub before swarm etc.

Yep, short fights amplify the effects of DPS-increasing CDs such as Bloodlust. Having said that, their DPS is still pretty impressive.

With dual-spec, we might be able to have some healers switch to DPS for farmed content and speed runs.

Oh, and Aeria ... I think your main DPS handicap is TMNet.

Tal provides the 2 melee buffs above already. The only one missing is mangle/trauma.

Yep.

On live servers, Mangle/Trauma is about a 100dps buff for me in my current gear and spec. Certainly good to have, but not as critical as Sunder which is about 440dps.

By the way, changing the fight duration from 3 mins to 1 min on the rogue spreadsheets only increases my DPS by around 300-400, but that is because my spec does not have any DPS-increasing cooldowns. Other DPSers will probably see a more dramatic increase in shorter fights.
