On Sunday Rhodie recommended a FREE service called Smoothping (
http://www.smoothping.com ) that works pretty much like Gamepath (using putty and freecap).
I took 10mins to set it up (it’s pretty easy with step-by-step) instructions. The results so far has been quite impressive!
My usual ping of 350-450ms has dropped to 250-280ms. I’ve encountered a couple of brief lag spikes but overall, it’s quite stable.
Since it’s free, I encourage everyone to try it.
