sigh. Fuck wow.com and fuck Babouille from mmo-champion. Even if it is this week, the amount of stirring these kinds of 'announcements' cause when they have no official backing in fact, which is how news is supposed to work ya know, is friggin ridiclous. Stick to announcing stuff thats released, not speculation.

That's the problem with running websites like those. You pretty much have to keep churning out content to keep the page views coming. Heck, it's the same for any other commercialised media.

I think the main reason they do it is that Blizzard's Announcement comes in the form of "PATCH DOWNLOADING..."
They've got very good reasons not to do release dates, but when it's 12 hours or 24 hrs away it's silly that they don't say anything!

My hate stems from the fact that I sincerely dislike Wow.com in that it's basically a glorified blog that presents itself in such a way that a new player would rely on the information from that site as accurate. In reality, it's often average players from average guilds giving out bad advice, and yet its quoted as gospel by people who don't know any better.

MMO-Champion has had a long history, and has been an amazing source in all that time, but recently Boub has been jumping to some highly questionable claims based on very little 'evidence'.

My main doubt as to why it won't be today is that arenas usually close alongside patches, and when they don't, it really can screw up the arena system which isn't good for those who take it seriously. Don't get me wrong, if its today I'll leap up in joy because it'll give me something to do, my anger is just at the way it's being reported.

Game news is srs bsns. As Gallow said, commercialised media is terrible in that respect. Its why I gave up reading the news because some of the stuff in it seems to just be page filler if not sensationalisation.

Sym... it just says you've not done Vezzax on U10, but it has your Yogg kill. It picks up the info from the armory (which is currently down).

It's got all my bosses accurately but my armory's fxd because it shows me as having no "Higher learning" achievement which I got 2 days ago

Just imagine the outcry from Arena PvPers if the Patch is going live just like that, without warning. While not impossible, it certainly does not seem likely.

my wow client is patching now. so yes it is today. PvPers have delt with this once before, it shouldnt suprise them lol

edit: I have Vezax killed Pretty sure i have the ulduar complete achievement, though armory hasn't updated in a while for any of my characters.

My guess the only challenge will be on the healers healing more damage than they have been before. That seems to be the only constant.

Probably give a shot at Collesium. Anyway, its only 1 boss I think, since its a weekly unlocked kinda thing.

doesn't need to be 1 lock out, it's just that it comes from the armoury and sometimes it's slow to update
