With both WoTLK and WAR (Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning) releasing this year, I just wanted to take a few moments to let you guys know I will be leaving WoW (raid wise). I'm not saying WoW isn't fun, it's just getting really old for me and besides with the release of another expansion pact all level 70s are essentially "reset". This has been done when TBC was released where most raiding effort are "wasted" and gear being replaced by greens.
During the 2 months of raiding with the Guild, I realise I am losing focus and my interest in raiding is slowly dying. Besides, I don't foresee myself being promoted to Raider any time soon. That said, instead of putting myself into a "Raider over Initiate" reward system, I would rather like to commit my time in getting the Season 2 PVP Gear (which will be honor purchasable soon) for all my toons. Yes, it's "Welfare Epic" but at least I will earn my rewards for my time and effort while I wait for WAR.
Anyways, for those of you who might remember (from Bronzebeard), I've been playing since December 2004, PVP'ed till Rank 14 (High Warlord) making me the 1st Rank 14 Shaman on Bronzebeard that to me is an accomplishment at that time. Raided all old school has to offer with my Shaman and Hunter (MC, Onyxia Lair, BWL, Naxx, AQ 20/40, etc) with Full Tier 2 + some Tier 3 which I still have sitting in my bank.
Honestly, I have plans to leave once WAR goes live (PVP is in my blood!!) but who knows, maybe I might play WoTLK when it is released. Hence, I will not be selling or canceling account. It is, however, perfectly fine with me regardless whether you decide to boot me + alts from the guild or let me stay. In all honesty and seriousness I am glad that you took me in and I had fun.
