If you have lag issues lately in WOW, please test this:
For MAC users:
1. log into the game
2. put it in window mode Command + M
3. go to Mac HD=>Applications=>Utilities=>Terminal
4. at cursor type netstat -n
5. look for the first Foreign Address that contains .3724
6. type traceroute ( IP address that appears
before the .3724) > ~/Desktop/tracert.txt and press the Return key. A file will be created on your Desktop called tracert.txt that contains your trace route information
7. quit the Terminal application, open the file created and copy/paste the text to your reply
For Windows users, just Alt-Tab after logging in and start a DOS window with CMD. Then do netstat, and do a screepcap or whatever with the traceroute results.
If you are getting alot of Timeouts, then chances are Starhub is the issue.
Report this to Starhub. Call them (1633), and try to tell them you want to escalate this issue.
Another way is to go to their Utilities Site:
http://utilities.starhub.com/conexon/en/UtilitiesStartFrame.jspYou can run the same traceroute etc from there, and directly SUBMIT the result.
There were quite many Starhub complains in forum (
Forum link), so this is looking more and more to be a "Laghub" issue *again*.
