| Looks like two weeks to go until Ulduar hits a live server near you. The regular two-week warning for Arenas has just been released. As the next major content patch draws near, we remind everyone that Arena season 5 is coming to a close. Don’t forget to spend your Arena points, as they’ll be reset once the new season begins. Read on! http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=15443194120&sid=1
/party. Also, Start saving your cooking awards, because you want to be the player with the cool hat over Yogg-Saron's corpse!

- Arena Season 6: One-week grace period at the end of Season 5
There will be a week between the end of season 5 and the start of season 6 where players will have time to spend points they've earned. In other words, you'll have one week from the day 3.1 hits to spend your points.
This confuses me a little - let's say hypothetically season 5 ends tomorrow - from your wording, season 6 will start the next tuesday. So there'll basically be a "dead" week for arena when there is no season going on at all? Correct. We're giving a one-week grace period for players to spend accumulated points from season 5 since we're wiping them at the start of season 6. This is a bit confusing and might change the date of the 3.1 release to next week. In the past, arenas have reset in sync with patch inclusions and there has never been this dead week. What this seems to suggest is that the patch will come out next week while the season will still end in two weeks O_o

| Blue post by Bornak: We are currently planning to end Arena Season 5 as early as April 14, or possibly a week after this date. At that point we will go through our normal process to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. This process should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for the arena-specific titles and/or Deadly Gladiator’s Frostwyrm to refrain from transferring their character to another realm until after Arena Season 5 ends.
The following Arena Season will not begin for at least one week after the current season ends. During this time between seasons, all rated matches will be turned off and only skirmishes will be available. When Arena Season 6 begins, all teams, personal rating, and arena points will be wiped, but matchmaking rating and honor points will remain.
So it looks like 3.1 goes live on 21-Apr or 28-Apr.
yay! beat Sym to the scoop for once!

| Darn it. How am I ever going to catch up to you older poster's post count?! However, that does assume that the patch is launched simeltaneously with the arena season. An older post suggested that the patch may come a week before the season ended, which would pin it on the 7th. Having my doubts about that now because the PTR"s haven't been brought down for closing and, more importantly, not all bosses have been play tested (they may intentionally be doing this, much like M'uru and KJ were "untested"). Oh well, time to put away the chicken guts and stop playing Haitian Voodoo Doctor | |

| We are nearing the end of Arena Season 5, which is currently scheduled to end with or shortly after the release of the next major content update, patch 3.1. A more specific date will be announced as we draw closer to the release of the patch.
As a general reminder, all Arena points will be reset with the start of Arena Season 6, but honor points will remain. - Bornakk
I guess it would seem the patch would be same week as the end of season 5. So 14th or 21st Apr. My guess is 21st.
